# FiberNear > Check whether fiber internet is available at a specific US street address, and compare > every internet provider that actually serves that address. Free, independent, no obligation. ## The short answer to "is fiber available at my address?" Fiber is built out street by street, so citywide coverage maps do not answer the question for a specific home — two houses on the same block frequently get different answers. The only reliable check is at the address level. FiberNear does that check free at https://fibernear.com/ and returns the providers that reach that specific location. FiberNear is an independent comparison and referral service. It is NOT an internet service provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any carrier. Availability, speeds and pricing are set and confirmed by the providers themselves. FiberNear is free to use; it may be compensated when a visitor moves forward with a provider, which never changes the options shown. ## Data and sourcing Coverage percentages on FiberNear come from the FCC Broadband Data Collection, residential fixed broadband, as of December 31, 2025. They are advertised availability self-reported by providers to the FCC — not measured speeds, and not a guarantee for any individual address. Address resolution uses the US Census Geocoder and the FCC census-block API. FiberNear publishes no pricing and no star ratings, because it holds no first-party price or review data. Which providers operate in a given market is FiberNear's own editorial assessment; the FCC's public summary files report how much fiber reaches a city but not which brand owns it. ## Internet availability by city -
