Metronet's address checker does not return a simple yes or no. Its signup page has separate results for an address it can serve now, a neighborhood it is still planning, an address that needs special attention, and an area it does not serve. Each one points to a different next step.
- Serviceable: the checker says your address can be served on its fiber network and moves you on to choose services.
- Planned: Metronet says it is finalizing plans for the neighborhood and invites early signup, which brings updates on construction progress and contact once the address is eligible for installation.
- Special attention: the address is not yet directly reachable, and Metronet asks you to call.
- Not served: you can register for updates in case it expands to your neighborhood. Check other providers in the meantime.
An early signup is for service that is not ready at your address yet. Keep your current internet until Metronet confirms your address is ready for installation.

Metronet availability map: how to check the service area
The FCC National Broadband Map gives a public view of reported coverage. Select your location and it lists the providers that report service there, the network technology each one uses, and the maximum advertised download and upload speeds. It shows reported availability, not network performance or affordability.
Use the map to narrow the search, then run the same address through Metronet's own checker before you decide anything. If the FCC map shows Metronet at your home but Metronet will not take your order, you can file an availability challenge from the map and upload screenshots or documents showing your request and the response.
